Many doctors, nurses, and other clinicians come to us, asking what they can do to work on sustainability. Communication is critical for building more sustainable systems. Having attended a few medical conferences and worked with a few device manufacturers, we know that the clinician voice is critical for a company to commit to sustainable action. So we’ve produced a little “pocket guide” clinicians can take to their conferences to ask vendors about their company’s sustainability policies and the ethical and environmentally friendly designs of their products.
Download this pdf, and print it if you’d like – it’s designed to fit on a 4″ x 6″ card which might fit in your conference badge.
Take it to the vendor hall at your next medical conference and run through the checklist. One side is for company-wide questions and the other side is for product-level questions. The vendors may not have answers for you, but it will get them thinking!
Send us a message on how the guide worked for you! (and what kinds of improvements you’d like to see!)
